Terms of service

The agreement between you and Hardn: what the service does, what you agree to before you scan, and how billing and liability work.

Last updated: 3 November 2026. Infonex Pty Ltd trading as Hardn, ABN 93 632 080 427.

These terms are an agreement between you (or the organisation you act for) and Infonex Pty Ltd (ABN 93 632 080 427), trading as Hardn (“Hardn”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Hardn you accept them, together with our acceptable use policy and privacy policy.

1. The service

Hardn scans websites, web apps and APIs that you have proved you own, reports security problems it finds with supporting evidence, and writes suggested fixes. Scans are automated and read-only, and run within the limits described on our security page.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity in your organisation.
  • Owners and admins control who can access an organisation and its reports.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement.

3. Authorisation to scan

You promise that you own, operate or are authorised in writing to test every site you add, and that your authorisation covers automated security scanning. You must keep this true for as long as the site remains in Hardn. Our acceptable use policy sets out what isn't allowed.

4. What a scan is, and isn't

Hardn checks for common, well-understood security problems. It isn't a full penetration test or a security audit, and it can't find every weakness. A good grade doesn't mean a site is secure. Fix reports are suggestions written with the help of an AI model: review them before you change production systems.

5. Credits, plans and payment

  • Scans use credits. A scan that fails is refunded as a credit automatically.
  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Paid credits aren't refundable for change of mind, but nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Your data

You keep all rights in your sites and your data. You give us permission to process them to provide Hardn, as our privacy policy describes. We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics (for example how common a misconfiguration is) to improve the service.

7. The API

API keys act for your organisation. Keep them secret, rotate them if exposed, and stay within reasonable request rates.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Hardn running but don't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change features; if a change materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Hardn and delete your organisation at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or the acceptable use policy, or if we must to comply with the law.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Hardn is provided “as is”, we exclude implied warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by security problems in your systems. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that can't be excluded, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again. Otherwise our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction.
